The original game concept only had water which acted as impassable walls and two types of mushroom the red and pink. It was programmed in Visual Basic 6.

2009 - Due to the notable popularity for the original basic idea, a flash version of the game was developed by Liam Macdonald (link).

After the announcement of the Antix Game Player at the middlesbrough boho one building of digital city James Fletcher began to re-develop the game targeted at the iphone, windows, mac and various hardware devices supported by the Antix Game Player.

The new generation mushroom roulette is being developed for 320x240 portable platforms such as the Dingoo A320, GP2X, iPhone as well as a wide range of other devices such as Windows, Linux, Mac OS X.

This website, and C++ version of mushroom roulette all started in June 2009. The new version of the game has absolutly no link to the original Visual Basic version other than the concept that you have to collect red mushrooms and try not to pickup too many pink ones. This new version is far more advanced in game play and code.
